Been searching for a Microsoft Word postcard template?
To be honest, you wouldn't catch me recommending Microsoft Word to anyone.
Having said that, Word seems to have stuck around long enough for it to be on everyone's PC.
There's other word tools that I think are more suitable than Word.
Apple iLife as an example, has some good writing tools on offer.
Anyway, you may be wondering why I created this Microsoft Word postcard template then.
There's a few good reasons, so we'll get stuck into them. Then you can download your postcard template below.
Firstly, everyone and his brother are using Microsoft Word so it's sort of become the standard tool. And hey - when it comes to creating templates you need to go with what everyone already has!
We could have used Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop to create these postcard templates, but believe me, that's a completely different ballgame!
You can, by the way, find Illustrator postcard templates (with photos already on them) at StockLayouts.com. You'll need to dig around a little to fit the specific postcards to your needs though!
And yep - a lot more people have Microsoft Word than Photoshop. Plus Word is a LOT easier to use than Photoshop!
Steal a look at the templates below and you'll see it's been laid out in Microsoft Word with 4 postcards per page. There's no front side - you can use whatever images you want to do that part.
Or use one of the stock photographs in the box to the right to create your postcard front cover.
So it's mainly the back of the postcard that interests us. That's because you can modify that part to express your needs.

Microsoft Word postcard template
I dropped in a few basic lines of text to give a twinkling of an indication what should go where.
Make sure to include the basics - your address, contact phone numbers, and website address and email. That's almost essential nowadays!
Also make sure your words are going to motivate folks to take action!
You guessed it - I'll leave that part to you.

Word up!

Print these templates at four to a page on card stock at your local printing shop or office store. With a simple stamp added (hand addressing them is an option too), you'll have a postcard that's ready to mail.
(The download comes as a compressed ZIP file in Microsoft Word .doc format for both Mac and PC)
Remember too that your postcard design doesn't have to be the flashiest or the best out there. It just needs to accomplish its role of bringing attention to your services or products.
Using both black and white and color postcard templates are worth a try too.
Some folks will say they never use postcards as a brand builder - rather they prefer to send the postcard as a tool to get the customer to take action - pick up the phone or go to a website to find out more indformation.
Here's 6 things to keep in mind when using your postcard templates:
Once your postcard mails your days will be spent patiently answering calls from customers!
That's it in a nutshell. If you enjoyed my Microsoft Word postcard template please let other knows about it too.
