Easy To Implement Postcard Stock Photos

Looking for postcard stock photos that will add a jolt to your postcards?

You don't need a master's level savvy to make your postcards impress.

Nor do you need to pay a postcard designer a few thousand dollars for 3 easy hours work.

You also don't need to spend an easy afternoon browsing the free stock photo sites.

(Between you and me, that's because those free stock pics don't quite make the grade - Sorry!)

So then - if you want postcard stock photos, here's what to do.

Firstly, a couple of reasons why most folks don't go with stock photos on their postcards.

The first reason is that people don't know that they can use stock photos, or they don't know where they can get the stock photos from.

The second reason is that people don't know how powerful a stock photo can be. But we'll show you the proof below when we compare the free postcard template with a high quality stock photo.

And the third reason is that people tend to think that stock photos are really, I mean, really, expensive.

Why Postcard Stock Photos?

Of course that stock photo is not really expensive - in comparison to many things, including going out there and shooting your own awesome photography!

But let's deal with the first reason - finding appropriate postcard photos.

Most of the stock photo sites I point to in the Stock Photos Options Box above will happily give you a range of great images. Just punch in your keyword and do a search at any of those sites. Keep the following in mind:

When you've found the right image, make sure that what you're downloading is a high resolution (300 ppi) image licensed for postcard printing. And make sure you have your postcard printing specifications at hand so you know exactly what size image is required, and what resolution, etc. :)

Here's the second reason - how powerful can a stock photo really be in a postcard?

Of course, I'm going to be bias here (as I'm the one selecting the photos to suit my argument!) But despite that, I still think the stock agency photos are a good bet.

But, see the examples below for comparison.

Now for the last reason. Are stock photos expensive?

Like we said, it's a lot cheaper than going out there and shooting your own!

But really, you have to weigh it up against what you want to achieve with your own postcards.

If you're building a brand, getting patients to visit your dental practice or selling homes, then you kind of need to go with an image that gets the message across at first glance.

Yep, a lot of the free stock photo sites have the occasional gem to be picked up. But you could dig for hours and still end up with something the cat brought home!

The paid stock houses are a better option in my opinion because they offer the highest quality images available.

And sure, you have to pay for it (usually under $40) but when you think of the time it saves you, it's an absolute bargain.

That's just what I think anyway!

And I could be completely wrong. :)

I just think that when you want to make postcards and get them out there circulating, the last thing on your mind is learning to become a top photographer!

So, I'll expect great results!
