Keen to buy and sell homes using realtor postcards?
Buying and selling real estate isn't just restricted to the drab classifieds anymore!
In a day and age where there's barely time to check your mail, real estate post cards are a convenient way of getting information to your customers in concise tidbits.
There's three main types of realtor postcards that end up mailboxes:
Just listed - Announces all houses (or sometimes just a sampling if a realtor has many properties listed) that are for sale, including house pictures.
These appeal to those who are in the market for a new home, or even some who aren't but are tempted by the good price or great looking property.
Just sold - They may seem redundant as the house has already been sold, but realtor postcards of this type have anywhere from 1 to 10 property photos of houses that have recently been sold.
These type of realtor postcards are to prove that the realtor is capable of selling, and can sell your house!
Farming and prospecting - These kinds of postcards call out to potential and future home buyers and sellers to consider the realtor in question.
An appealing guarantee or free assessment will usually be used to increase interest and name recognition.

The keys to your new home!
Sometimes these can take the form of a seasonal card wishing you a happy holiday.
The intent is still to get prospects, but does so in a more informal manner.
Here's a couple of examples of just listed and prospecting postcards used by actual realtors:
Websites with a wide selection include www.RealestatePostcardsOnline.com and www.PostalRealtor.com.
At those sites you can pick up postcards for any intent, be it to declare listings or just to say 'Happy Thanksgiving.'
www.Realasponse.com is interesting because it allows for straight mailing to clients once the postcard has been designed.
Uploading a mailing list with an order skips the process of it having to be shipped to you first to do the work of sending them out!
For full creative control and a real hands-on project, use a postcard template from www.ThePaperMillStore.com and use all your own pictures, text, even choose the size of the postcard.

Coax them in
That site makes real estate post cards very easy to use. Unlike mortgage and other similar markets, the only text often needed on real estate postcards is the realtor's name, number, and house prices.
Let the pictures do the talking! (See the postcard examples below!)
Home buyers are smarter now and will appreciate a picture a lot more than tricky real estate language (where 'great potential' means 'a total dump').
Farming relies much more on the message than the pictures, but continue to keep it simple.
A catchy slogan, credentials, or any special offer that is provided is enough. It may seem cliche and rude, but repeated mailings really do work to keep a realtor's name on the tip of tongues.
When a real estate agent's name and face is on park benches, the side of every bus, or in your mailbox every week, their name will be synonymous with home buying and selling. Real estate postcards is one way to achieve this sort of local fame!
Some of the different sorts of realtor postcards available:
Another site that caters for realtor postcards is www.Mypostcardprinting.com. If you're after more personal or customized postcards then this site takes the cake.
Here you can design your own postcard, understand how mailing consultations work and get savvy on other realtor marketing tips before you print anything!
Aside from being cost-effective, real estate post cards are definitely at the top compared to other real estate marketing strategies. They're flexible, highly visual, and are often kept in a prominent place too.

'For your eyes only!' - A postcard for realtors
For Your Eyes Only - This is the sort of realtor postcard that tantalises the viewer with a catchy headline - and jerks them to turn your card over and read the rest. Don't worry about using small type, or trying enormous postcards either. And remember - if you're going to mail, mail First Class.

Land - Absolutely free!
Who wouldn't read this postcard? You've got less than a second to catch your reader's attention, so you want your headline (or postcard catch-phrase) to do the job of igniting curiousity. But don't make it difficult for your reader to understand the meaning though! Keep it targeted at your market!

You snooze, you lose - Real estate post card
Don't Even Think About Buying A House In Seattle Before You Read This! (Insert your city) may have made a better postcard title. The point to realtor marketing postcards like this is to drive home urgency and get the reader to act now. You usually need a good reason for these types of postcards - only 12 available, last time we offered this, it sold out in 48 hours, etc.
